Lunch Works is Australia’s newest and freshest alternative to online communities. My name is Brad and I am a 34 year old single guy from Perth who founded the idea and concept of Lunch Works. It was while staring out my office window one sunny Friday that I realised it would be so much easier and safer, and more comfortable and secure to meet other new and interesting people during a hassle-free lunch break. After a lot of research I could see that there was a real opportunity to fill a big void for single people by offering such a service in both the online and offline worlds. The realisation was that Lunch Works would be the original and very first online dating site to also be an offline dating community - through our venue guide and network of preferred establishments.
Whilst many online dating sites continue to provide their services around the premise of offering sexual contacts and potential encounters, Lunch Works is committed to giving people a fresh and innovative way of meeting others by offering a dating environment and venue guide/list that is much friendlier, less threatening and both socially and emotionally more beneficial than the mainstream dating site.
Lunch Works for so many people who have a lunch break, including WHITE COLLAR WORKERS, BUSINESS MEN AND WOMEN, SINGLE PARENTS, WORKING CLASS PEOPLE, CAREEER PEOPLE, and quite simply anyone who is SINGLE and looking for new friendships, companionships, relationships or to network with others. How do I use Lunch Works?
Join Now - you can create your Lunch Works Username and profile, telling our members about the type of person you are and the type of person or people you're looking for. Through our easy to follow step-by-step registration process, your profile can be completed in a short space of time, and your Lunch Works experience will be underway. Either register for a FREE Standard Membership, or upgrade and become a Complete Member.
Search - for those active members who sincerely wish to find someone out there in Single Australia, use our Search facilities to seek what you're truly after in the way of friendships, companionships and relationships. Use our search facilities to also find others on a social or business level in which to network with. Otherwise you can just sit back and wait for that certain someone to find you.
As we continue to promote the site and the word starts to spread over the coming weeks, your searches are currently returning minimal results as we only recently launched. Please bare with us and be sure to keep coming back to the site to see more new members that have joined.
Icebreakers & Messages – once you have found someone of interest, go ahead and initiate contact with them firstly using the Icebreaker facility.
Icebreakers are a FREE way to register your interest with other member profiles. In sending an Icebreaker, you can attach ONE message by choosing from the list of pre-formatted options we have for you. Icebreakers have a FREE right of reply also. Icebreakers are different to Messages in that no personally identifiable information can be exchanged, apart from that on your profile.
After a positive reply is received to an Icebreaker, the next step is to message or initiate an instant chat with the member when you're ready to continue further. Messaging someone means you can communicate more personally with that person, and if you so wish exchange contact and other details. If you are a Standard Member and wish to send a message to someone, you will need to upgrade your account to a Complete Membership. Simply choose your period of subscription and once we've approved your payment you'll be ready to use the message facility. It is FREE to reply to messages for all members.
Instant Messenger & Video - Complete Members can invite other active and online members to join them in a one-on-one instant chat forum. Simply click "accept" in the invitation pop-up, otherwise "decline" the offer. The Lunch Works instant messenger facility also incorporates video and microphone technology so that with the right hardware, you can talk, hear and see each other in real-time. Instant Messenger is not a chatroom, and only 2 members are ever involved in a Lunch Works instant chat.
Venues – ready to finally meet offline? Access your very own dedicated guide of Lunch Works Preferred Establishments who are offering their services especially to you for lunch, coffee or a drink. Find a suitable establishment by utilising any one of the three different search types, and keep an eye out for some great places that are displaying a special members-only discount offer just for you as a Lunch Works member.
Community – very soon we will be launching our own members Forum. Anyone who registers a profile with Lunch Works will be able to enter the online forum and post their own topic of interest, or reply to one already posted by another member. Within the forum, our Community feature and area is where members can establish their own 'community type' or join an existing one. Lunch Works will keep you updated with news on this and other Forum features closer to launch.
What should I do now?
It is FREE to register your profile with Lunch Works and put up some photos. You can start easily by doing this and see if anyone contacts you. Otherwise perform your own search and start looking.
It is also FREE to send Lunch Works Icebreakers. For Complete Members, Lunch Works has an added feature where you can also attach your very own message to the Icebreaker, along with the one you select from the pre-formatted options.
When another member has replied positively to an Icebreaker you sent them, the next step is to send a Lunch Works Message. In order to send this message and continue getting to know more about the person, we invite you to become a Complete Member. Lunch Works messages include a FREE reply so the person you contacted can respond without needing to become a Complete Member.
The other way you can contact someone is via Instant Messenger. Similar to msn messenger, you can send an invitation to another member, inviting them to an instant chat with you. Complete Membership is also required to initiate the IM facility. It is FREE to accept an invitation to chat.
What does it cost to use Lunch Works?

Eventually when your special introductory offer expires, in order to continue using the message and instant chat facilities you will need to subscribe and upgrade to a Complete Member. A couple of options are the 1 Month Complete Membership for just $19.95, or a 3 Month Complete Membership for $39.95 (that's 1 month for free).
Memberships can be purchased by using your credit card online, sending in a cheque or money order by post, direct deposit at any Commonwealth branch, or by using the "pay anybody" facility when banking online.
