Private information
(a) When registering to use any Lunch Works service, you are required to provide Lunch Works certain personal information about yourself, such as your first and last names and email address so that Lunch Works can administer your profile, provide a safer service and, if required, verify your identity if you need to contact us. Your private and personally identifiable information will never be disclosed, rented, exchanged or sold to any third party, and will never be disclosed on the Lunch Works website without your express permission, except for the persons referred to in subparagraph (b) hereof.
(b) You acknowledge and consent that the only other persons who may have access to your private information are;
(i) our staff, for the purposes of administering your membership,
(ii) our web designer for the purposes of maintaining our web site,
(iii) our server for the data which is held in Australia,
(iv) third parties engaged by Lunch Works to perform functions on its behalf, such as debt collection and marketing and research,
(v) third parties authorised by you to receive information held by Lunch Works, and
(vi) other third parties as required by law.

Public information
We request you to disclose as much information about yourself when registering your Lunch Works profile. Your non-personally identifying information is used to personalise your experience, allow other members to find you through a search, allow us to forward to you further search results and to deliver targeted advertising and promotional offers to you from us and from other external companies that are of the highest relevance to your profile. All profile information you provide, except for the private and personally identifiable information referred to in sub-paragraph 1(a) hereof should be considered public information, as any Internet user can find this information. The onus is upon you as a Lunch Works member to limit the information you provide on your LUNCH WORKS profile to help us ensure your privacy is protected. We provide options to allow you to restrict visibility of your profile and visibility of any photos you upload through Alerts and Preference settings. Whenever you post a photo with your profile, the photo in question will be considered public information.

Financial information
We do not collect any credit card details from online transactions made on the Lunch Works web site. All credit card information is held by Pay Pal. Lunch Works only receives notification from Paypal once the credit card transaction has been approved or declined.
If we do require credit card details to settle a payment dispute, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any of your financial information which, may come to our attention is secure and protected.

Messages/Communications
LUNCH WORKS provides and offers the facility to allow you to send icebreakers and messages to other members. These alerts and messages are private and only visible to the proposed recipient. While we do not as a rule, moderate or monitor members private exchanges of icebreakers and messages, we reserve the right to do so if we suspect users of being under 18 years of age, if we receive a complaint from the recipient of a message, or have reason to believe that you are in breach of our terms and conditions.
Lunch Works may also collect information relating to emailed comments and/or opinions of other members or site visitors about you. These may include complaints, testimonials and general member feedback.
Lunch Works may also collect other members private notes about you. A member may add you to their list of friends or favourites, and make notes to help them remember you. These notes are only ever visible to that individual member. Lunch Works staff do not normally monitor or look at these notes, but may do so if required.

Any messages sent to our Support Staff are totally private and confidential, and are only viewed by our Support Staff.

Usage tracking
We may track user traffic patterns throughout our site. However we do not correlate this information with data about individual users.
We use tracking information to determine which areas of our site users like and don’t like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us to continue to build a better service for you. We use your IP address (the series of numbers associated with your individual computer) to help us maintain the Lunch Works website and identify problems with our server. Your IP address does not disclose any personally revealing information about you. See the section on “Cookies” below.
We DO NOT:

Monitoring online behaviour
Member submissions that appear on the Lunch Works forum are moderated, and if necessary, we reserve the right to edit, delete, remove or not use any communication of the forum. The same applies to any other form of member submission made in any other public area of the Lunch Works site.
Email communication
Your email address will never be made known or available to any other member of the Lunch Works website. In the event that you are sent a message from another member, depending on your profile settings, we may notify you via email that you have a message waiting. When sending a message to another member, your registered email address will never be made known to the recipient as Lunch Works has its own internal messaging facility.
We use your email address to administer your account with Lunch Works, sending you things like alerts (if set) when you have a new Icebreaker or Message, or preferences (if set) like venue guide information and newsletters. Also includes sending you emails relating to our services and other various information.
Our policy is that you control the emails you receive from Lunch Works, and you can opt out of receiving them at any time. To change any or all of your email settings, simply click on My Profile and Alerts and Preferences.
We reserve the right to use your contact information at any time to advise you of any updates or news that may materially affect your rights or status on our site.
Control of your Private and Personally Identifiable Information
You are responsible for protecting your first and last names, email address, username and password. You should never disclose this information to any third parties. If you do choose to share this information with any third-parties for this or any other service, you are totally responsible for all actions taken with this information. We recommend that you use different passwords for different sites and that you review the privacy policy of any parties to whom you provide an email address and password.
Testimonials are posted on the Lunch Works website and included in emails to members to help promote our services. These testimonials are only made public in this manner with the consent of the persons mentioned in them.
Cookies
We use “cookies” to provide customised and personalised services to users of our site, the use of which is a very common practice on the Internet.
Cookies are small amounts of data that are sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. A cookie can’t read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites.
Lunch Works mostly uses "session cookies", which are removed from your computer once you leave Lunch Works. These are used so our service can remember that you have logged in and to prevent you having to do so more frequently. Session cookies expire and are deleted after 20 minutes of no activity on Lunch Works.
Lunch Works also uses “persistent cookies” which allow us to track users on Lunch Works including tracking information about pages visited. Cookies can also be used to alert users to new areas that we think may be of interest to them when they return to our site.They also help us identify users who may unfortunately be abusing the Lunch Works services.
Your browser software can be set to disable all cookies, or to ask you if you would like to accept or decline a cookie from a particular site before it is set. Your enjoyment of the Lunch Works site won’t be affected if you have set your browser to disable/reject cookies. To change your browsers cookie settings, please click here for instructions.
Advertisers
We may from time to time promote 3rd-party or venue advertisers on Lunch Works. Clicking advertisements may redirect you to websites where the privacy policy is beyond our control. We will never disclose personally identifying information about you to advertisers even when you are logged in and click an advertisement.
We recommend that if redirected to another site that you locate and read their privacy policy.
Member Polls & Contests
From time to time our web site may request information from members via polls or contests. Participation in these polls or contests is voluntary and the member can decide whether or not to disclose the information (such as postcode, age, opinion about the site etc). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes (if applicable). Poll information will be used for the purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this web site. Responses to polls are aggregated and are not identifiable to any user’s details. We may use a system to “tag” users after they have voted to ensure they only vote once on each question. This tag is not correlated with information about individual users and only exists for the life of the poll.
Refer a Friend
If a member elects to use our referral service for telling a friend about our web site, we ask the member for the friend’s name and email address. Lunch Works will automatically send the friend an email inviting them to visit the web site. Lunch Works stores their contact information for the purpose of sending the Refer a Friend email. The friend may contact Lunch Works to request the removal of this information from our data base.
Other Links
The Lunch Works web site may at times offer links and banners to other web sites. We are not responsible for the data policies, content, or security of these linked web sites. We do not have any control over the use to which third parties may put or use your data where you choose to purchase products or services or otherwise to contact them via this web site and you should always read the third parties’ privacy policy before disclosing any personal information.
Finding out What Personal Information we hold
Upon activation of your membership, you may access and update all the contact and profile information we hold about you at any time, simply by logging on to Lunch Works and accessing the “My Home” page. If you have any further questions relating to the information we have or may collect from you, please use our Contact Us facility and select "My Personal Information" as the request type.
Security
We operate a secure data network protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. We have appropriate security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that you have submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. Although Lunch Works makes use of up to date technology in order to protect your profile information and photos, please keep in mind that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
We keep the information you have given us for as long as you are a member on the Lunch Works site, or for as long as we are required to do so by law, which ever is longer.
